Our naturopaths, several of whom are parents, choose products with clear age ranges on the label, kid-friendly formats (drops, chews, sprays), minimal sweeteners and no unnecessary colourings. Every product is practitioner-grade and licensed with a Health Canada NPN, and we favour brands that publish third-party testing where they state it.
Top brands in this category include Metagenics, St. Francis Herb Farm, NFH, ATP Lab and Beekeeper's Naturals. Best sellers are NFH Children's Probio SAP, Metagenics MetaKids Multivitamin and Beekeeper's Naturals Propolis Throat Spray for Kids.

Frequently asked questions
At what age can children start taking supplements?
It depends on the product. Vitamin D drops are commonly used from infancy, while chewables and sprays are typically labelled for ages three or four and up. Always follow the age range and dose on the label and check with your child's health care practitioner first.
Do kids need a probiotic?
Not every child does. A children's probiotic can be a useful source of beneficial bacteria during or after changes to diet or routine. Our naturopaths look at diet, digestion and history before suggesting one, so a short consultation is a good first step.
How do I get a child to take fish oil?
Choose a lemon- or fruit-flavoured liquid, mix it into yogurt or a smoothie, and keep it refrigerated to reduce any fishy taste. Small daily amounts work better than occasional large ones. Soft chews are another option for older children.
