Why five forms?
Each form was selected to bring something distinct to the formula.
• Magnesium bisglycinate is a gentle, well-tolerated form commonly chosen for everyday use, relaxation and muscle support.
• Magnesium malate combines magnesium with malic acid, a compound involved in the body’s natural energy-production pathways.
• Magnesium L-threonate is a specialized form designed to deliver magnesium in a unique way and is often selected for formulas focused on nervous system and cognitive support.
• Magnesium taurate combines magnesium with taurine, an amino acid involved in nervous system and cardiovascular function.
• Magnesium citrate is a highly soluble form that supports magnesium intake while also complementing digestive regularity.
Together, these five forms create a more complete daily formula than a basic single-form magnesium.
Why no magnesium oxide?
Magnesium oxide contains a high percentage of elemental magnesium on paper, which can make a formula appear more potent. However, it is generally less efficiently absorbed than many other magnesium forms and is often used primarily for its laxative effect.
We chose not to use magnesium oxide to inflate the number on the label.
Instead, Ultimate Magnesium FLO is made with carefully selected forms chosen for their quality, tolerability and purpose within the formula.
